The Twe12th Man Website

Minutes for Twe12th Man December meeting held on 11th December 2008

At the Ironopolis Social club Bright Street Middlesbrough.


1.) Review of previous meeting.

Paddy Cronesberry not present so previous meeting minutes not reviewed.

2.) Financial Report.

Dave Dyson (Treasurer) accounted for the groups current finances. All present agreed that balances on Current and Deposit accounts were in order. Report accepted as a true record.


3.) Discussion about website launch.

Paul Taylor presented information regarding website usage since its launch. Peak times of use were identified and 'hits' from many countries were recognised. It was agreed that content for the website should be submitted regularly to keep the site fresh and that encouragement should be given to anyone who wishes to submit articles or songs/polls etc. It was suggested that new material be produced just prior to peak time usage. Registration to the forum was slow initially but given time this will improve.


4.) A.O.B


Peter Chaney came to the meeting to discuss merchandise. He offered us help and guidance in how/when/where to sell merchandise and gave us new leads for suppliers of Twe12th man merchandise. His input was greatly appreciated by all and his suggestions were followed up.


After contacting MFC with various suggestions regarding ticket pricing and structuring, discounts on the concourse, activities for kids etc for the FA Cup game against Barrow and not receiving a reply, it was decided that we would put on face painting at two popular local pre-match venues. The Ironopolis Club and the Navigation were the chosen venues and plans were put in place. The reasoning behind it was to send kids and their parents into the stadium into a positive mood to help the atmosphere build up. Advertising of the event and the co-ordination will be done by various group members.


Next meeting will take place on Thursday 8th January 2009 at the Ironopolis Club at 7:30 p.m.
